A mixed-levels class that focuses on the fundamentals of yoga through intelligent sequencing of asana (postures), proper physical alignment and pranayama (breath). This is a dynamic practice designed to balance the mind and body for students with some yoga experience. Variations are given to encourage students to practice at their own level. The class can vary depending on the individual teaching style of each instructor.

This class is also useful for those trying to work around injuries. New students are welcome to drop-in at any time. Every body is welcome.
Release and Restore
This class is based on gentle yoga, somatic movements, breathe awareness and guided imagery that will enhance your capacity to be healthy, relaxed and fully present. Small, slow and gentle movements are used to re-educate the brain so that it can relax and enable your physical body to move with more harmony. Somatic practices can help you develop an even greater awareness of specific parts of your body, find relief from pain, and nurture a deep sense of ease and well-being. This class is suitable for everyone and especially for those who wish to release mental, emotional and physical tension.
This class is based on a flowing sequence of asana (postures) coordinated with the movements of the breath. Combining meditation and a focus on alignment to help students deepen the connection between mind, body and breath. All levels of students are welcome to flow.
Intermediate/Advanced Practice (aka Asana Junkies)
This is an intermediate/advanced practice that is in a supportive group practice environment. Emily will lead the practice but will also be on her mat practicing so it is less formal than a class or workshop. Advanced asana practice is NOT a requirement. The only requirement is a love of the practice, a desire to expand your practice and a willingness to challenge and honor your limits in a skillful way. Most of these classes will be based on Christina Sell’s Asana Junkies courses. Asana Junkies is about advancing your practice from where it is now to the next reasonable stage through supportive actions, community and a sense of humor. Expect to laugh, sweat, and play as we practice together in community. Please refer to master calendar for class dates. Usually held once a month only. Cost is $20.
Not everyone can get up and down off the floor easily making traditional yoga classes difficult. With the help of a chair anyone can practice yoga with the same benefits of increased circulation, balance, flexibility, mobility and strength. Chair Yoga is recommended for those with arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer recovery, post-op rehabilitation, and others with limited mobility. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support.
