Writing from the Heart
Saturday, August 11th: 9:00am-2:00pm
WRITING FROM THE HEART will first invite us to practice gentle yoga together, open us to learn new writing techniques and then allow us to go into a deeper place where we can access our inner wisdom. The awareness and insights can lead to personal growth by providing us with an opportunity to develop and strengthen our own written expression. Students will be able to meet their personal wisdom guides, develop their poetic voices and practice therapeutic writing in a group setting.
Chris Moody Schulz is a descendent of British miners who came to this area in the 1870’s from Cornwall, England. As a child she read and held the diary of pioneer Annie Parsons Welch, her great-grandmother, who died as a young woman from complications of child birth. Chris has spent her career using words, images, metaphors and other forms of therapeutic expression in her psychotherapy practice on the Central Coast of California. She is now a part-time resident of Graeagle and this is the second annual Writing From the Heart Workshop she has been involved in. Chris recently published a book of poetry entitled, “The Spiritual Teachings of Nature” and is a certified writing instructor from the Center for Journal Therapy.
