A weekend of workshops to learn the basics of living Ayurveda and attuning to your essential nature through aligning with the wisdom of the elements. Learn about Ayurveda and Yoga philosophy of living in harmony, understand your personal constitution and how to use diet, lifestyle and practices to cultivate inner strength, peace and wisdom. Practices will include asana for all levels, breathwork, meditation, restorative yoga and daily routines.
Gentle Flow and Intro to Ayurveda and Yoga Philosophy
Friday, Aug 21, 5-7:30pm
A gentle flow to arrive and unwind. Philosophy will be wound into practice followed by a short talk on the guiding principles of both Ayurveda and Yoga.
Balancing Earth + Water: Move and Clear
Saturday, Aug 22, 9am-11:30am
A morning practice to cultivating warmth, lightness and clarity followed by short discussion on the elements and doshas.
Balancing Fire + Water: Creativity and Compassion
Saturday, Aug 22, 2-5:30pm
An afternoon discovering your personal constitution and daily routines for balance. This will be followed by a practice to cultivate creativity, compassion and calm.
Balancing Air + Space: Center and Ground with Yoga NidraÂ
Sunday, Aug 23, 9-11:30am
A morning practice to ground and embody the teachings and philosophy through lower body centered postures and Yoga Nidra.Â
Optional: Hike in the Lakes Basin
Sunday, Aug 23, Afternoon Hike 1-3:30pm
Another means of enhancing overall well being is hiking in nature the with like-minded people. Â
Optional: Ayurvedic ClassÂ
Sunday, Aug 23, 5-7pm ($35)
Learn the basics of Ayurvedic cooking principles. Includes some hands on preparation, learning 4 basic foods for balancing all doshas, handout of recipes and light meal together. (Space is limited)

Jana Kilgore is a board certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, Clinical Nutritionist, Herbalist, Chef, E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor, Reiki Master, writer, educator/student and guide. She has been studying traditional healing systems, nutrition, herbal medicine, meditation and nature therapy since childhood. Her life is dedicated to empowering people to become stewards of their inner and outer environments through Yoga, Ayurveda and immersing in nature. She specializes in digestive issues, auto-immune disorders, hormonal health, mental health, trauma and recovery and recently added prenatal and postpartum support to her practice. Jana is part of the teaching team for Balanced Rock Foundation, 200 and 300 YTT in Yosemite, CA and Ayurveda for yoga teachers in many other trainings. When she isn’t teaching, cooking or working with clients she is writing a book, slowly learning to surf and paddle, working in her medicine garden or out on a trail. Cancellation Policy for Workshops at Trails Within
Workshops fill on a first come, first served basis. Your spot is not guaranteed unless you prepay for it.
Cancellations 7 or more days prior to start of a workshop will receive a full refund. There will be a 10% charge taken out of your total for administration.
For cancellations less than 7 days before the workshop, we will only be able to issue a refund or studio credit if you are able to find a replacement for your reserved space.
Cancellations within 48 hours of the start of the workshop, if you do not show up, or if you leave an event early for any reason, no credit or refund is available.
