Dynamic & Experiential Anatomy for Yogis
Sunday, August 28th 9-11:30am & 1:30-3:30pm
“Mike is highly masterful in his applied teachings and brings to life the power of anatomy for everyday living. His classes embody the spirit and science of understanding optimal movement in the human body. He is soulful and deeply committed to the evolution of his own understanding of how to transmit these teachings in a potent way.” ~ Sianna Sherman
In 2008, Mike began teaching anatomy for yoga teacher trainings. He taught anatomy to the public through the cadaver lab at his chiropractic college. He also brought in body painting to show how muscles move and stretch in yoga asana.
Mike has had the pleasure of teaching for some of the top yoga instructors and festivals around the country. His love for teaching is rooted in empowering and
educating yogis to think outside the box. He now teaches on the road, traveling from town to town with his wife and two cats in their RV.
Mike’s greatest passion is witnessing the aha moments when people discover the amazing presence of their bodies. With all the schooling we receive, where do we learn how to touch and be present with someone? Where do we learn to move and breathe in a healthy way? In Mike’s classes you will get a taste of what this means. Mike will make AnatomySense and you will come away with a whole new understanding of your moving, breathing, living body.
In this workshop you will learn functional movement patterns, palpatation, muscle testing, joint assessment and Foundation Training. You will then be able to integrate AnatomySense into your yoga for a healthier more sustainable practice.
