This class is suitable for those with minor injuries, limited mobility, seniors, or anyone looking for serenity and rejuvenation of body and mind.
This class is for students of all levels and will benefit beginners as well as more advanced practitioners, while also suiting the needs of those with movement limitations. Each week a sequence of poses will be taught to therapeutically benefit the body: for example, sequences for lower back, hips, shoulders, etc. Whether you suffer from the specific condition or not, the sequences are beneficial to all, as they all work on bringing balance and health to the body, mind, and spirit. Therapeutic yoga may help relieve discomfort, increase range of motion, improve muscle balance, and intends to help bring students to a more harmonious state of being.
Not everyone can get up and down off the floor easily making traditional yoga classes difficult. With the help of a chair anyone can practice yoga with the same benefits of increased circulation, balance, flexibility, mobility and strength. Chair Yoga is recommended for those with arthritis, osteoporosis, cancer recovery, post-op rehabilitation, and others with limited mobility. Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support.
