The backpacking trip was extremely well planned and organized, and I was not disappointed! The location that was chosen was beautiful, a perfect hiking distance, and an ideal place to meditate and practice yoga. (Perfect granite slabs and a lake view – what could be better!) The quite time was new to me and was really wonderful. I am an experienced backpacker, but this was my very first experience practicing yoga and meditation. The instruction was wonderful; I was pleased with the patience of the instructor and the extra assistance. I’m looking forward to finding a yoga studio where I live to continue on this new found path. Overall, the entire experience was pleasant and one that I plan to do again.” — Brett H

The retreat was terrific! Although yoga, meditation and hiking are things I’m familiar with, I was new to backpacking. Emily was super organized and had lots of info to help us prepare and pack for our trip. Also, the balance of free time and structured time was perfect. Emily was very flexible and we were able to choose how our time was spent. The yoga was a perfect complement to the hiking, I came home feeling strong and energized instead of sore and tired. Starting and ending each day with the meditation left me feeling focused and relaxed. I was able to sleep soundly on a slab of granite!
