with Chrissy Graham
August 6-7, 2016
Saturday, August 6th 12:30pm-2:30pm
The Mysterious Core
Explore how to train your body and activate your core in standard yoga postures. How we use our bodies in movement and at rest in our yoga practice can make all the difference in maintaining a safe and healthy body. Our core is often considered our torso, although our core consist of the bigger muscle groups in the body such as our thighs, hamstrings and gluteal muscles, almost everything besides our arms. In this two hour practice will playfully explore our core through varying different exercises, dynamic movement, and longer holds.
Saturday, August 6th 3:30pm-6:30pm
Nourishment Practice
Many people shy away from a restorative yoga practice due to the fact that they think its just lying around. Well, restorative yoga is just lying around, but it is so much more than that. Restorative yoga is a practice in which we can offer our bodies and minds time to step out of go mode. It a chance to reboot and re-calibrate our hormones as well as inviting our bodies into deep uninterrupted rest. Many people can experience it as challenging to let go into this awakened restful state, however, this is exactly what the mind and body are calling for. Take time to step away from your computer, your phone, your to – do – list, and other of life’s stresses, and treat yourself to three hours of freedom to relax, and nourish your own body.
Sunday, August 7th 9:00am-12:00pm
